Playstation’s State of Play started off with Concord from Firewalk studios, a 5 v 5 shooter, like a sci-fi Overwatch, with a beta that releases in July and the game coming out August 23rd, 2024.
Next was God of War: Ragnarok on PC with features like unlocked framerates and ultrawide screen support, coming out on September 19th, 2024.
Next was Dynasty Warriors Origins, coming out in 2025. Nice to see a game like this taking advantage of the PS5 specs.
Following that was Infinity Nikki – a Genshin lookalike with a test coming in Q3 2024.
After that was the much more impressive looking Ballad of Antara, an open world RPG coming in 2025.
Next up were a couple of VR games, starting with Skydance Games release of Behemoth, coming September 2024 with a likely rating of Mature 17+
Alien Rogue Incursion, also a VR game with a likely rating of Mature 17+ was the next reveal, coming “holiday 2024”.
Marvel Rivals, which is basically an Overwatch clone, showed up next (poor Concord). The 6v6 shooter has a beta test coming out in July 2024.
Where Winds Meet – A Chinese hack and slash currently in development. It definitely has a wushu aesthetic going on.
Until Dawn was announced next, for PS5 and PC coming September 2024. Another likely mature 17+ rated game.
Path of Exile 2 , a Diablo like game for PS5 also coming out September 2024. Also rated 17+.
Continuing with the Mature rated games, Silent Hill 2 for PS5 – coming Oct 8, 2024.
Back to games with trailers I can actually link to, Capcom presents Monster Hunter Wilds, Coming in 2025.
And finally, last but definitely not least, Astro Bot – Coming (with more than 50! levels) September 6, 2024.
A good slate of games to look forward to, which we’ll probably learn more about during Summer Games Fest next week… Next Week? Damn, it’s almost June already.
