Gundam x Formula 1 Collab for Vegas GP

Bandai Namco America & Formula 1’s Scuderia Alpha Tauri team announced a collaboration in the lead up to the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix taking place this weekend.

In the video below you can see Alpha Tauri driver Yuki Tsunoda in an Amuro-esque helmet and race suit, while the collaboration itself will feature Gundam decals of the RX-78-2 GUNDAM and XVX-016 GUNDAM Aerial on the headrests of the AT04 car driven by Tsunoda and teammate Daniel Ricciardo.

There will also be “All new GUNDAM features for the event in Las Vegas, including RX-78-2 and Yuki Tsunoda artwork inspired by Scuderia AlphaTauri, have been created as well.” For the race weekend, two GUNDAM BASE POP-UP Stores will be available by Elara by Hilton and The Park by MGM, around the Las Vegas Strip Circuit™ area.

The Alpha Tauri team have some work cut out for them though, as Ricciardo qualified for the race in 15th place, while Tsunoda starts from the back of the grid in P20. The race starts tonight at 10pm Pacific Time.
