The new Gundam Seed Freedom movie, which sort of, unofficially marks the 20th anniversary of Gundam SEED, opened in theatres in Japan on January 26th. The movie, which had been in development since 2006 and was delayed due to the health of writer Chiaki Morosawa (who sadly passed away in 2019), was supposed to be released soon after Gundam Seed Destiny, centers on the theme of, you guessed it, Freedom.
No word yet on an North American Release or if it will get a English Dub. Gundam Seed & Destiny received two dubs, the first from Vancouver’s Ocean from and the second from NYAV Post.
In the meantime, you can tide yourself over with a video I took of the Lalaport Fukuoka Gundam, the RX-93ff v Gundam, with a PV of Gundam SEED Freedom playing on the wall of the Lalaport Fukuoka Mall.
