Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Starts with Opening from YOASOBI

On the day of the release of the TV anime adaptation of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (葬送のフリーレン, literally “Frieren of Final Send-Offs”), YOASOBI dropped the official Music Video (MV) of the full opening song, Hero (勇者):

While the song retains the high-pace and auto-tuned signatures of YOASOBI, the choruses of fantasy gibberish and fantasy-ethnic undertones remind me of songs from Haruka Shimotsuki.

In addition, the no-credit opening from the TV anime itself also dropped on the same day, which somehow seems less animated than YOASOBI’s MV:
